Chelsea Guevara is a poet and spoken word artist from West Jordan, Utah. Part Salvadoran, part American, her words focus heavily on the Latinx and immigrant struggles. She has performed at multiple venues across the Salt Lake VAlley, captaiing the State Champion 2019 Copper Hills Poetry Slam Team and also taking individual honors at both the Utah Arts Festival, where she was crowned Youth Indie Slam Champion, as well as Sugar Slam. Her poetry has been featured on Write About Now as well as KRCL's RadioACTive. Chelsea is currently studying medicine at the University of Utah, while also competing in and presenting poetry at local venues. She coaches poetry for her former team at Copper Hills.
